просто у тебя в настройках стоял full duplex но контроллер сетевухи видел что включен коаксила и работал в half. а вообще:
Mismatched duplex settings are a common problem. Although most newer cards, hubs, and switches automatically negotiate compatible settings when you connect them, this auto-negotiation does not always work correctly. Sometimes a network card will be configured for full duplex operation while connected to a half duplex hub, or a card in half duplex mode is connected to a full duplex switch port. Such a connection will often appear to function correctly under light traffic conditions. However, as traffic volume increases the link will begin to experience a large number of errors and lost packets, and the link will become practically unusable. To resolve this problem, you can usually specify an option to the network driver software to force the card to operate in half or full duplex mode. Some switches also allow you to specify the operating mode for each port
